We recognize the importance of protecting the
personal information members provide to the South Metro Denver REALTOR®
Association (SMDRA). Therefore, we maintain the following privacy
policy:
1. We gather the following type of
information needed to maintain our membership records, process
transactions, and fulfill requests:

Contact information members provide (for example, personal
and business addresses, phone and fax numbers, and firm affiliations).

Information given via applications or surveys (for
example, education, designations, specialties, affiliations with other
real estate organizations, and general demographic data).
2. We use this information to:

Notify members of relevant products and services.
-
Notify members of upcoming events and programs.
-
Confirm an individual’s membership status upon request.

Provide a printed listing of members to other SMDRA
members
-
Provide a listing of members on smdra.com
-
Provide a member search utility for SMDRA members through
Internet Member Services (IMS).
3. We do not:

Share, sell, or trade e-mail addresses of REALTOR®
members. E-mail addresses may be included on rosters printed for
individual Committee use. E-mail addresses of Affiliate members may be
listed on our website.

Give out home addresses, home phone numbers, social
security numbers, or other personal member information.

Give out cell phone numbers of REALTOR® members
to the general public or other members. Cell phone numbers may be
included on rosters printed for individual Committee use. Cell phone
numbers of Affiliate members may be listed on SMDRA’s website.
4. We will not share, sell, or otherwise provide other information
about members to third parties, except for:

Affinity partners for the limited purpose of notifying
members of promotions.

Other vendors for the limited purpose of contacting
targeted groups of members, through marketing vehicles approved by
SMDRA.

When required by law or valid legal process, or to protect
the personal safety of our members or the public.

Some or all of the data collected during promotions or
contests on our site that are sponsored by third parties may be shared
with the sponsor for the limited purpose of a one-time marketing
follow-up by the sponsor. If information about members will be shared
with a sponsor, members will be notified prior to member’s participation
in the promotion or contest, and members can decide not to participate
in the promotion or contest.
5. Credit information that members and credit authorizers provide when
members make payments by credit card or electronic check will only be
used to process the transactions a member requests. This information
will never be sold, shared, or provided to other third parties.
6. We utilize an Opt-Out policy for e-mail notifications regarding
services, products, and programs. Members may adjust their communication
preferences by logging into the IMS system or by contacting SMDRA.
