It’s an honor to be asked to run for President Elect for the SMDRA Affiliate Council. As a CPA specializing in real estate tax services, I have over 17 years experience working with Realtors®.  As a member of the SMDRA Affiliate Council since 2000, I have participated in many events and committee’s and currently I’m serving as your Affiliate Council Treasurer. My goal as President Elect is to share my vision, experience and commitment for the continual growth of the Affiliate Council:
Vision: Expand Affiliate activities promoting communication and helpful services to the SMDRA Realtors® and our local community though: Education, Networking Events, Social Events, Marketing Meeting Promotion to Realtors®, New Member Programs, Community Outreach and expanded exposure to all SMDRA Realtors®.      
Commitment: I promise to spend the time and resources necessary to continue to build the greatest Affiliate Council organization that offers the best business opportunities while supporting our Realtors® and the entire affiliate membership. Thank you for your vote.

KATHLEEN BARBEE, Above and Beyond Property Inspection

I own and operate Above and Beyond Property Inspections.  I am running for the Affiliate Council position of Vice President (and I really, really want the position!). I have been a member of SMDRA for 2 years and am currently the Affiliate Council Secretary.

Being an Officer of the Affiliate Council has kept me informed and involved in the issues that face us as Affiliates. I know that by continuing to serve I can only better the relations we have with the SMDRA Realtors® and better the success of Affiliate businesses.

As your current Secretary I know what it takes to run a smooth Council and know I work great with the incoming President, Carol Grape, which is a huge requirement as Vice President.  In short (pun intended), I would like to continue to offer my enthusiasm and energy to SMDRA and give back what the group has given to me. So, VOTE for KAT for Vice President (woo hoo, Go Kat).

I am the perfect choice for this position for many reasons but mostly because my dedication to SMDRA and the Affiliate Council is undeniable.  I have served on every committee at SMDRA, including the Winter Social, Clothing Drive, Cookbook, Recycle Program, Holiday Breakfast, MDRF Golf Tournament, and co-chaired the Cinco de Mayo committee.  I have volunteered for the Ski Bus Trip, to sell Member Relief Fund tickets many times a year, and lectured to the Affiliate Council on contact management, helping further the Affiliate Education Program.  I mentor Affiliate and Realtor® members on repeat and referral business building and am a 2008 SMDRA Affiliate Superstar. It is my goal to help the Affiliate Council continue its current goals, generate new ones, and further the general position of SMDRA and all its members, and would appreciate your vote to ensure such. 

2008 TREASURER Tiffany Elmore

TIFFANY ELMORE, 1031 Corporation

I am a Client Development Coordinator for 1031 Corporation Exchange Professionals, and am currently responsible for Corporate Marketing and Client Business Relationships.  Prior to my position with 1031 Corporation, I worked for ten years at FirstBank Data Corporation as a Business Information Systems Specialist. I am currently a member of the Apartment Association, Parent Teacher Involvement Committee (PTIC) Special Events Chair for Roxborough Elementary School and a Board member of the Roxborough Women’s Network. I also love to share my ballet expertise with the Roxborough community by teaching classes at a local dance studio.

It would be a great privilege to be a part of the Affiliate Leadership SMDRA.  SMDRA is just like a big family and it is an honor to be nominated for Treasurer.  Working in the financial institution environment for a number of years has provided me a strong background in budgeting and financial tracking.  I have a lot of energy, the ability to multi-task and I enjoy getting involved with “people helping people” - which is how I think of SMDRA.  I would be honored to be elected for Treasurer of the Affiliate Council.

Hello my name is Jodi Childs, formally known as Jodi Vanderhill – Smith.  I am an Account executive for The Real Estate Book.  I am running for Secretary of the Affiliate Council.  I have great passion and feel much satisfaction with supporting my fellow Affiliates.  I have served on the Affiliate Council in past as Treasurer, Vice President, President-Elect and President.   I have served on committees such as Cinco de Mayo, InterFaith Trim-A-Tree Holiday Breakfast,  and many more.  I ask you kindly for your vote, as I will continue to stay committed and devoted to our Association.  Thank you!
